Who we are

What this product does

Say Their Name installs on your Zoom account. You host the meeting. One hosted seat named Legends joins. When you say a name, a legend can answer in the room in a catalog or parody voice. Legend Studio lets you create and tune those legends in a browser. Voices are catalog and parody synthetics, not a living person’s voice. After the host authorizes Production, a seat named Legends joins meetings that host starts.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the product you asked for:

• Account and contact. Your name, email, company if you give it, and Zoom account identifiers required to install the app and join the hosted seat on meetings you host.
• Meeting content. When the seat is in a meeting you host, we process spoken words so a named legend can be addressed and can answer. That includes transcript text from the meeting and the speech we generate for the legend.
• Studio content. Prompts, wake phrases, voice selections, and other legend settings you create or edit in Legend Studio.
• Access requests. If you use the form on this site, we receive the fields you submit, at chris@gograybeard.com.
• Technical logs. Time, status, and error information needed to keep the seat joined and the studio available.

Meeting speech and transcript are sensitive. We use them only to operate the meeting and, when that pipeline ships, to produce the recap you asked the product to keep. We do not sell personal information. We do not use meeting content to train public models.

How we use information

• Install the Zoom app on your account and join one hosted seat to meetings you host.
• Recognize a spoken name and let that legend speak in the room.
• Operate Legend Studio so you can create and tune legends without a deploy.
• Respond to access requests, support, and security incidents.
• Produce meeting summary and notes when that byproduct ships — from the conversation the legends were in, not as a silent sidecar.

How we share information

We share personal information only with processors who help us run the product:

• Zoom, as the meeting platform you already use.
• A voice-synthesis processor, to generate the legend’s speech in the room.
• Hosting and email providers, to run the app and receive support or access requests.

Those processors may handle personal information only to provide their service to us, and must protect it at least as carefully as this policy requires. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context advertising.

Retention

We keep account, studio, and meeting records while your access is active and for a limited period afterward if we need them for security, support, or law. You may ask us to delete your personal information. We will delete or de-identify it unless we must keep a copy.

Your rights

You may exercise the following data-subject rights by emailing chris@gograybeard.com:

• Access. Ask whether we process your personal information and receive a copy of it.
• Correction. Ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
• Deletion. Ask us to delete your personal information.
• Stop processing. Object to processing, ask us to restrict it, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. We will stop that processing unless a limited legal exception applies.

We will respond within thirty days, or sooner if the law requires. If you are in the EEA or UK you may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. If you are a California resident you may appeal a denial by writing us again and marking the message “privacy appeal.”

Children

Say Their Name is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

We use administrative and technical measures appropriate to a hosted Zoom seat and a small studio: access control, encrypted transport, and limited staff access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you use the product from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States and in the countries where our processors operate.

Changes

If we change this policy in a material way, we will update this page and the effective date. The current policy lives at https://saytheirname.ai/privacy/.
